The 5 Things I’m Loving this week (as an Interior Designer)

Vol. 2

Alternate Title: I scoured the internet so you don’t have to

This morning I let Opie out and almost couldn't believe what I heard.

Birds. Chirping. Like, spring is actually on the way. Even here in the Minnesota Northwoods.

I stood outside for a while just listening to them and immediately starting daydreaming about the actual life that will soon come back to my (currently very dreary) backyard.

Mornings with coffee on the back porch, my potted herb garden, the nest of bunnies that show up each spring, reading a book under the covered porch on a rainy day, backyard cocktails with friends.

And while we're not quite there yet, I've also been daydreaming about ways to bring little touches of spring into my house, while I wait just a little longer.

This week's list of things I'm loving definitely proves that. It's got subtle spring vibes and even a touch of whimsy.

So with that in mind, here it is - Vol. 2 of The 5 Things I’m Loving this Week (as an Interior Designer)

This classic pattern is definitely having a moment right now. So when I saw the gingham pattern in my favorite linen duvet set at half the price of most linen bedding, I just had to add it to the list.

I will forever talk about my love for printable art. It’s seriously one of the easiest and most budget-friendly ways to update a space. Then I came across this sweet little dog’s face this week and somehow became an even bigger fan.

This “spring in the air” feeling also has me wanting to clean and organize everything. This brass wire storage basket feels like such a pretty and functional way to do just that.

I’ve been working on a couple of bedroom design projects for clients recently and wanted so badly to include this bed in one of the spaces, but it just wasn’t quite right for any of the projects. I won’t stop dreaming though - especially since it comes in over 20 colors!

So, I recently came across the idea of these mini vase magnets, through a viral reel on Instagram. I am just loving the bit of whimsy and spring-like vibes they would bring to your kitchen for under $10.
